PROGRAM
The course will have a legal focus, giving an insight into the Unitary Patent and the Unified Patent Court, as well into the patent litigation systems of several European countries.
If necessary, the Direction may modify the program and the list of the teachers.

TRAINING FORMAT AND DISTANCE LEARNING
The course comprises 120 hours, divided into three-hour modules each, with lessons once a week in the morning and in the afternoon, for a total of 20 days, of which 17 of theoretical lessons and 3 of practical training.
Lectures will be in English. Lecturers have been selected for their competence and their teaching skills.
The course will be held both online, using Microsoft Teams, and in person, if at least eight participants have registered to attend the course in person.
In-person attendance is encouraged, but is only mandatory for the three days of practical training.
All participants will have access to video-recordings of lectures, presentations and course material, which will be downloadable from the website with a personal password.
AI summaries of the lectures will be provided to the participants to help them in the learning process.
EXAM
The final exam will be organized the day after the end of the practical training, and it will comprise three parts:
Part a) Written – 30 multiple choice questions,
Part b) Written – a legal case to be solved
Part c) An oral exam starting with the discussion of the legal case.
